Why is it to resolve a problem with BT I have had to speak to 8 people in two continents and write two e-mails to the Corporate Press Office?

Perhaps they were too busy intercepting your communications and selling them to Phorm?

I've had similar problems. Their call centre in Calcutta must be very busy!

Erm, it is still unresolved.
We only have their word that they will fix it (probably)
Ahem.

Ha. I understand. About a year ago my Dad phoned up BT to complain, and after two hours of waiting on hold, he got through to some bloke in Newport South Wales. Not surprising my Dad's first words to this guy;
"I could have driven to Newport and complained to you in person!"

Answer: because the lunatics have taken over the asylum
Nobody seems to know what they're doing any more. All they know is how to charge for it.

Customer service, no matter which continent one goes to is shitty these days. *sigh*
Hope your problems have been resolved after all this "going around" session you've been through.

Yikes, that sucks.
